Three beautifully styled bedrooms, each featuring a plush memory foam mattress. The master suite features floor-to-ceiling windows opening to the cowboy plunge pool and expansive desert views, complete with a full private bath for a serene, luxurious retreat. Plus, there’s a queen-size foldable memory foam mattress in the master suite.

Livingroom

The living room centers around a Frank Lloyd Wright–inspired granite altar, creating a grounding focal point for the space. Designer touches are woven throughout. Settle into the comfortable sofa or lounge chair, and make use of the convenient mudroom as you transition between the indoors and the desert beyond. The owners have also provided a curated selection of spiritual and personal growth books, along with a list of other recommendations, to make your retreat to Sanktuary Haus one to remember.

The chef’s kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with local Joshua Tree Coffee. A large round dining table brings everyone together and is ideal for family meals, casual gatherings, or game nights that last well into the evening.

Two full designer bathrooms feature modern fixtures and spacious rain showers, with luxe bath linens that create a spa-level experience throughout your stay.

Outdoors

Sanktuary Haus sits on 2.5 acres, newly renovated by locals Nathan Beck and Karla Ruzicki, and surrounded by miles of protected government land for the ultimate peace and privacy. Thoughtfully landscaped with mature palo verde trees and creosote bushes, the property immerses you in the desert’s quiet beauty and blurs the line between indoors and out. It's a place to retreat, restore, and reconnect to your center.

Please make yourself at home with access to the entire property and its 2.5 acres of private land, including a gated driveway with parking.

Have questions about the property or the area? We’re local and happy to help make your desert stay an experience to remember.

Welcome to 29 Palms, a rising arts community adjacent to Joshua Tree and home to one of the park’s main entrances. Known for its wide-open desert views, star-filled skies, and the largest Marine base in the U.S., it offers a blend of nature and local culture. Enjoy favorites like Kitchen in the Desert, GRND SQRL, Campbell Hill Bakery, the Saturday Farmers Market, and classes at 29 Yoga Studio.

You don’t need a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle to reach The Sanktuary Haus or explore the high desert—Teslas and other luxury cars manage just fine. Some roads can be a little bumpy, so turn on your favorite tunes, take it slow, and enjoy the ride.

Nice Place

This property is beautiful and well equipped. Private with all the amenities. Short Driving distance from restaurants. Very good instructions for check in/out and follow up proactively duringy my stay. I brought a small dog and she also had a great time because the property have a fence around the perimeter. This is a property that I will be back in the future

Wonderful experience and everything advertised. We were mostly off-site at meetings but we enjoyed our time at the property in the evenings. We will definitely book this property again on our next visit to the California desert.

Had an amazing stay would highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again. Location was close to Joshua Tree national Park, but also close to anything else you might need such as grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The home had everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was extremely well organized. The bathrooms were very clean. The Air Conditioning was working great. The property is fenced in, which was great for my dog. Everything was 10 out of 10.

Words cannot express how much I enjoyed staying at this home. The house is beautifully styled and feels incredibly luxurious, the grounds are well kept, and the beds are exceptionally comfortable. I also loved the location. It sits perfectly between Joshua Tree and 29 Palms, which means the sky is incredibly dark with minimal light pollution, perfect for stargazing. The property is also very private, with no direct views of neighboring homes. The nearest house is likely a few hundred yards away, which made the entire stay feel peaceful and secluded. The property sits along a long, quiet dirt road where you can barely see the end. Taking sunset walks along the road was incredibly romantic and peacefully. There are just two things to note, although neither bothered me personally. There is no TV in the living room, but two of the three bedrooms have TVs. I’d also recommend bringing an umbrella or some type of shade, as the outdoor furniture gets quite a bit of sun during the day! Ty again
